Pentagon likely to act soon on aerial tanker-analyst

Article Abstract:

The US Air Force is likely to turn to two suppliers, Boeing and the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co (EADS) for replacement of its fleet of aging KC-135 aerial tankers. The Pentagon has signaled its final acceptance of a report, known as the Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) from RAND Corp., a non-profit research organization and would probably follow three main recommendations of the AoA which are modernization of the fleet, buying of a mixed fleet of new aerial tankers, and tankers to serve multiple duties.
