Perception and biomechanics data in a manual handling task: A comparative study

Article Abstract:

The use of subjective perception tasks and its correlations with biomechanical data is explored in the evaluation of manual material handling considering three main dimensions for perception, physical, operative and performance regroups. Perceptions associated with operative dimension appeared to be less related with biomechanical data while all physical and performance items corresponded in various ways to biomechanics data.

Technical note. Designing safe job rotation schedules using optimization and heuristic search

Article Abstract:

Exposure to strenuous materials handling may be reduced by job rotation, but designing effective rotations schedules can be complex. Research provides a set of guidelines for safe rotation schedules without the need for a computer.
