Pirates pitch businesses with iMarket desktop database tool

Article Abstract:

The Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team utilizes database information in its business-to-business direct marketing approach. It uses D and B Marketplace and a Waltham, MA-based iMarket CD-ROM sales and market analysis tool in the promotion of the club's season and group tickets in different businesses. iMarket's D and B Marketplace allows the database of Dun and Broadcast Corp to cover 11 million Corporations which include different business information such as business title, telephone numbers and SIC codes.
