E-mail flexes its marketing muscle

Article Abstract:

Two factors are currently altering e-mail, namely: the switch from LAN-based packages to Internet e-mail and the advent of Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML). HTML allows e-mail program users to send embedded messages which people can reach simply by using their Web browsers and switching on to the Internet. However, there are certain advantages to business e-mail programs that slow down the move into Internet e-mail. But Interactive Mail Access Protocol and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol will be instrumental in hastening the widespread use of the Internet e-mail .

This is the essence of the new marketing ad of the software firm. Considering that the average contract price at TenFold is $4 million, this is a great deal of money on the line. But TenFold is confident it can meet its targets because it has created a universal application, general-purpose software which can be customized to the contracting firm's specification within months.
