The groups was restructured following the appointment of Peter Pollock as chief executive in 1997, and orders and pre-tax profits have increased. Some 27 billion pounds sterling is to be invested in London Undergound and the Channel Tunnel, and this should ensure work for LPA. The company also benefits from overseas demand.
