Rank: lottery loser

Article Abstract:

Rank has been affected by the UK National Lottery but this may only have a short-term impact. Rank's HavenWarner and Butlins should benefit from a rise in prices by UK package holiday operators. Rank's film processing operations have performed well, and the company has opened new facilities in Arkansas for duplicating videos. The company is hoping for a reform of UK legislation covering advertising for gambling, and expects leisure spending to rise in real terms, but there is no certainty that this will occur.
