New Retail concepts for Salt Lake airport

HMSHost Corp has received a contract for the development of 13 distinctive specialty store concepts at Salt Lake City International Airport. The 13 concepts are linked together by HMSHost's 'streetscape' design theme in a harmonious style and features architectural elements that include burnished aluuminum overhead structures and graphically enhanced colonnades. Shoppers can select from popular retail concepts including Lids, Wilsons-The Leather Experts and Fossil.

1999 U.S. housewares spending report

Article Abstract:

Almost $63 billion was spent by US consumers on housewares in 1998, a 7.9% increase over 1998, according to the 1999 State of the Industry Report released by the National Housewares Manufacturers Association. Compared to education, fruits and vegetables or dairy products, every household set aside $596 on housewares products. Nearly one-third of US houseware spending was attributed to tabletop.
