Risk and five gold rings

Article Abstract:

Terrence McGrane knew when he first volunteered to become part of the Atlanta Olympic's internal audit services that he would not have an easy job. As coordinator of the auditing team, the president of the Institute of Internal Auditors' Atlanta Chapter and 250 other volunteer auditors have yet to face their most difficult challenge, which is identifying and managing remaining Games-related risks. By the time their work is completed by Dec. 1997, the auditing team will have volunteered a total of 12,000 auditing hours.

From strength to strength

Article Abstract:

The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) conducted a survey about public perception about chartered accountants (CA) in Canada. The survey revealed that CAs were held in high esteem and were perceived as highly knowledgeable and professional. The results of the survey helped CICA develop several advertisements to promote public awareness about CAs and their services. The advertisments were published in well-read periodicals such as Time, Maclean's and the Financial Post.
