Risky business: can a single line of algebra predict business outcomes or even a happy marriage?

Article Abstract:

Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) can be used in making business related decisions but the usefulness of the CAPM model in all business decisions is being questioned through different empirical studies. Professionals are in agreement over replacing the CAPM model with a CAPM-styled, multi-factor model that will take into consideration the risk and reward profile of different indexes beyond the stock market.

The impact of mandated cash flow disclosure on bid-ask spreads

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to analyze the importance of mandated cash flow in determining the bid-ask spreads and in managing the information asymmetry across market participant. The mandated cash flow disclosure is required by Approved Australian Accounting Standard AASB 1026, Statement of Cash Flows (June 1992).
