SCi: playing the game

Article Abstract:

SCi Entertainment raised 4 million pounds sterling from a share issue in Aug 1996 when the company joined the UK Alternative Investment Market (Aim). CSi has launched two CD-ROM products, one of which is performing better than expected and there are hopes of good sales for Christmas 1996. The company repaid debts from funds raised which are also helping with development costs. SCi has moved to CD-ROM technology with longer lead times, and reported a loss due to no new products being developed over 12 months. The company's profit is forecast at 1.4 million pounds sterling for the year to Jun 1997 by Peel Hunt.
