Safeway Inc

Article Abstract:

Safeeway Inc is one of the world's leading food retailers. VP Richard Wilson acquired 1,000 shares last Oct 1, 1992 at $10.13 each while Pres Steven Burd bought 22,000 shares last Oct 30 and Nov 2, 1992 at $11.88. Four insiders took their options for 6,750 shares in late Dec 1992 and have held on to their additional shares. The open-market purchases and the options suggest forthcoming good fundamentals.

URS Corp

Article Abstract:

URS Corp is an architectural and engineering services company whose 13 to 15% revenue increase might prompt its stock price to rise from 40 cents to 55 cents a share. The firm's government contracts account for 70% of its earnings and it could experience a substantial increase in business from 1993 to 1996 provided Pres-elect Bill Clinton implements his infrastructure campaign proposals.
