The recent alliance of PeopleSoft with IBM to throw off Oracle Corp.Es takeover bid has also given PeopleSoft an access to IBMEs WebSphere, which is a middleware technology. It may be noted that middleware provides a link between two incompatible software programs and helps user benefit from the two. Many software companies are coming up with their own middleware.
