Investors, regulators, analysts and companies could all benefit from the increased transparency and usability of financial information that so many stakeholders are currently seeking by using eXtensive Business Reporting Language (XBRL) to publish financial information. XBRL could also help cut the costs associated with publishing and disseminating the information and speed up access.
