Study: more companies to buy online; Thomas Register, Visa see big move to Web

Article Abstract:

An online study made by Thomas Register and Visa USA indicated that 58% of the businesses surveyed will use electronic commerce for at least 25% of their purchases. It cited an increase in the number of companies that will go online for half of their purchases. One executive from Visa USA, Ryan Ross, said that one of the factors that might affect these projections is security. Consequently, many companies still prefer to place their business-to-business orders via the telephone and pay in checks.
