Taking control

Article Abstract:

Initiatives such as the European Union Public Internal Financial Control (PIFC) projects are helping to improve the standards of internal control and internal audit in several Eastern and Central European ex-communist countries. One result of such initiatives could be an increase in the amount of work for the U.K. accountancy firms that have a strong internal audit offering, state experts.

Dangerous liaisons

Article Abstract:

Several romantic relationships happened at work places and firms turned a blind eye to these liaisons was revealed by a survey. It was observed that work place relationships could be risky, where not only individual reputations were at stake but also the organization as a whole could suffer due to a personal relationship gone sour.
