Years of living dangerously

Article Abstract:

Serious health conditions such as cancer and heart disease are more likely to be experienced by chartered accountants mainly because of their stressful work. A research shows that the stress associated with accounting job are forcing accountants to develop a character called type A personality that is highly driven by achievement and control. Such type of personality is also characterized by repression and rationalization of inner conflict. Half of more than 400 executives covered by the research exhibit tendencies toward mood disorders such as manic depression.
