Overload - broker bedlam hits the UK

Article Abstract:

There has been a rise in demand for technology stocks in Britian which has helped to fuel an increase in demand for execution-only services from stockbrokers, who are having problems keeping pace with demand. Investors with nominee accounts are particularly affected since they cannot easily move to a new provider. Slow reponses to phone calls could be dealt with by using emails, the internet or faxes. Investors moving to a new broker cannot be sure that that broker will continue to provide a good service.
