O2's chief financial officer (CFO) David Finch might face an uncertain future as Spanish telecoms group Telefonica has initiated an 18 billion pound takeover attempt of the UK mobile company, which will be Telefonica's first step into the UK market. Cable & Wireless's takeover of business telecoms provider Energis has spelt the end of Steve Cooke's position as Energis CFO.
