Telemarketing tutelage

Article Abstract:

Telemarketing is used in 80,000 companies in 1986, compared to 1,500 only five years ago. By 2000, it is predicted that eight million people will be employed in the field of telemarketing, making it the largest work category in the United States. Due to the rapid growth of the industry, there is a great demand for qualified personnel. There are also challenges facing the industry due to the nature of the telephone and the conditions under which employees work which cause burnout, low self-esteem, stress, and long learning curves. Guidelines prepared by Learning International are offered on recruiting and supervision of employees, employee satisfaction, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
