The age factor

Article Abstract:

Discrimination on grounds of gender or race is outlawed in the workplace but trade unions in the U.K. often name age as the most common form of discrimination. New legislation passed on October 1, 2006, aims to protect workers from age discrimination under the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations, but experts are concerned that its interpretation could have the opposite effect.
