The effects of decision support information on decision-making patterns in systems development

Article Abstract:

Decision-support systems information has a significant positive effect on systems development management. The support systems are shown to encourage pattern-directed behavior, a requirement for structured systems methodologies. Strategy-related variables increased and interface design characteristics improved and are attributed to support systems use. The study involved thirty-two senior male university students with information technologyexposures.

The influence of some handle designs and handle height on the strength of the horizontal pulling action

Article Abstract:

The influence of hand to object interface on the ability of an individual to exert forces in varying postures was investigated. The results showed that the handle type and handle placement of the object significantly affected the force of manual exertion. Increased level of contact between the hand and the handle resulted in greater pulling forces. Force output exhibited a dependence on handle placement.

Interactive decision support system to predict print quality

Article Abstract:

The various printer problems such as fuzzy images, bands or streaks faced by the customers using printers are studied. A Bayesian model is implemented as an interactive decision support system to diagnose print defects reported by the customers in a simulated call centre.
