The influence of gloves during maximum volitional torque exertion of supination

Article Abstract:

The influence of friction between gloves and handle surface during maximum volitional torque exertion (S-MVTE) of supination under friction-controlled and regular friction conditions was investigated. Differences between conditions were observed. S-MVTEs with gloves under oiled surface handles was greater than S-MVTEs without gloves. Under unoiled conditions, friction between handle surface and gloves was found to influence S-MVTE.

Forearm torque strengths and discomfort profiles in pronation and supination

Article Abstract:

An experiment was conducted to investigate maximum forearm pronation and supination torques and forearm discomfort, for intermittent torque exertions in supine and prone forearm angles for the right arm. The results indicated that maximum forearm pronation and supination torque was affected by forearm angle and the direction of exertion.
