Effect of sampling on topology predictions of protein-protein interaction networks

Article Abstract:

Four generated theoretical interaction networks of different topologies and partial sampling of these networks resulted in sub-networks with topological characteristics that were virtually indistinguishable from those of available yeast two-hybrid (Y2H)-derived partial interactome maps. Given the current limited coverage levels, the observed scale-free topology of existing interactome maps cannot be confidently extrapolated to complete interactions.

Drug-target network

Article Abstract:

Network biology is used to analyze drug targets as a part of cellular and disease networks and to quantify their interrelationships with disease-gene products. Drug targets are becoming more related to disease-gene products because of an increased understanding of the genetic basis of disease.

Genome-scale analysis of in vivo spatiotemporal promoter activity in Caenorhabditis elegans

Article Abstract:

The 'in vivo' spatiotemporal analysis of the genome of Caenorhabditis elegans integrates the data sets with and worm profiling, chronogram generation, clustering, and cluster enrichments. The results help to predict the protein interactions.
