The politics of the changing forms of accounting: a field study of strategy translation in a Danish government-owned company under privatisation

Article Abstract:

The sociology of translation is used to explicate accounting change within an organization. A government-owned ferry operation in Denmark is used as an illustration. The article describes accounting's shift from principles of control to those of financialization during the translation process.
