The trick of tracking

Article Abstract:

A very wide range of information is published about personal equity plan (Pep) performance, but investors can still be confused, as each set of figures is assembled using different performance criteria. It is best to focus on basic unit trust performance figures provided by Reuters' Hindsight and Standard and Poor's Micropal, as 70% of Peps are invested in unit trusts. It is important to establish whether the Pep provider is making any additional charges for the Pep wrapper. Investors should be cautious about performance figures contained in the market material of unit and investment trust providers.

A practical guide to better audience surveys

Article Abstract:

Survey designs most appropriate to audience research in the arts were determined. In a survey of the performing arts, it has been found that distribution of questionnaires is the most effective method in determining audience behavior. The questionnaires can be inserted in programmes, left on seats or handed out personally. However, the probability of audience response is greater when personal interaction exists. It must also be noted that ample resources are needed in carrying out audience research.
