A toy story

Article Abstract:

Miami, FL-based Burger King Corp's Pokemon promotion based on 'Pokemon: The First Movie,' which ran through Dec 31, 1999, had far exceeded its original 'Toy Story' promotion that distributed 70 million promotional products. According to Richard Taylor, VP of USA marketing for the company, demand for the eight-week promotion exceeded both their plans and expectations. One major factor that contributed to the success of the promotion was Burger King's effort to publicize it.
