Trading patterns of big versus small players in an emerging market: an empirical analysis

Article Abstract:

Small individual investors in an emerging market in terms of trading are in a more disadvantageous position compared to bigger individual investors, which are observed to be more influential. The big individual investors wield greater influence since they are well informed about developments in the market than smaller investors. Smaller investors should delegate their trading decisions through institutional investors to become more successful in trading. There is also a need to establish regulations to ensure fair trading in emerging markets.
