Staffing, employment and consulting services company Interim Services faced a major problem when its operations required the separation of its treasury and accounting departments under a limited budget. The company created its own workstation to handle funds and established a treasury team for daily management of business processes and cash flows. The solution helped Interim Services save hundreds of thousands of dollars in securing a treasury workstation.

The International Accounting Standards Committee was set up in 1973 in London to devise accounting rules and standards worldwide. It is similar to that of the Financial Accounting Standards Board in the United States. They are working for the Financial Standards Board and the International Accounting Standards Board to converge.
