Unit trusts disappoint short-term investors: 1994 may not have been a good year for unit trust returns but investors should remember that good things - usually - come to those who wait

Almost 500 funds qualified for the 6,000 pounds sterling general Pep investment limit at the beginning of the year, with only eight turning in a profit for investors. Morgan Grenfell Europe Growth produced a return of 9.4% compared to Gartmore European Select Opportunities showing a 4.7% return. Japanese funds were amongst the best performing funds including Hill Samuel Japan Technology.

Director buys what...?

Article Abstract:

Director share dealings must be published, but many announcements are confusing or unintelligible. Most are published as part of 'Schedule 11 to the Listing Rules', but it would be more useful for investors if the information were put in a sensible headline to the announcement.
