Uprooting the corporate orthodoxies

Article Abstract:

Professional services firms all over the world are going back to the old methods and structures of management. The most successful organizations now resemble traditional partnerships in that they have become formless. They are increasingly accepting the idea of having no headquarters, communicating electronically and having portable offices. This freedom to determine how the job should be done has long been enjoyed by partners. In partnerships, people with common backgrounds and objectives and complementary abilities work together, but they work separately with their own contacts. The success of the partnership is not due to the office organization, but to the partners who make individual contributions to the performance of the enterprise.

It's simply not cricket

Article Abstract:

Cricket does not make sense when the game is seen as a company product. Customer access is ignored, generational considerations are not marketed, and customer pleasure is diluted with more frequent matches.
