VDC knows its pets better than its teeth

Article Abstract:

VDC Group is benefiting from a strong market for pets in the United Kingdom, which has helped its animal products division in terms of sales and profits. The company also supplies dental products, and this market is flat. VDC's entry into the dental products market has meant that its profit growth has been flatter than before, falling to under 5% annually, though profits have risen for five consecutive years. The company's profit is forecast at 2 million pounds sterling for 1998 to 1999.
