Article Abstract:

Several companies have been gaining much attention for their aggressive loan programs designed to encourage insider buying. Darden Restaurants has designed its loan program within the company's stock ownership guidelines, while Conseco Inc's loan program allows insiders to purchase up to 4 million shares of company stock, which serve as collateral for bank financing. Other companies which have set up their own loan programs include Apartment Investment & Mgt, Baxter International, Beverly Enterprises and Regency Realty Corp.

Financial stocks ... insiders stay focused, but selective

Banking and insurance executives continue to make stock purchases despite higher prices. This indicates situations where stock prices rise for valid reasons. It also suggests more potential gains. Trustmark led the list of companies with the highest number of accumulation. Its insiders buy stocks ranging from $20-$22, with its current price of $24.50. Other firms with the most accumulations include First Financial Bankshares and BT Financial.
