A real gentleman...and committed to career services

Article Abstract:

John E. Steele, the director of Career Centre, has been elected to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Academy of Fellows for his contribution to the career services profession. Steele is one of the founders of NACE, and has been the president of two regional associations. He has changed the name of the Boston College to Career Centre. He has also helped in developing the Journal of Career Planning and Employment, and has coordinated a research project on the MBA graduates also.

Article Abstract:

Career services in the United States are similar to that of the United Kingdom and are well funded, diverse, innovative and competitive in nature. The career services of the universities and private organizations in the UK have suffered from financial difficulties in the last five years. New computer "networking' techniques have been introduced in the United Kingdom to make job searching and vacancy identification easier.
