Creating workshops to be fun, too

Article Abstract:

An informative yet enjoyable workshop entails detailed planning but the results are satisfying for both organizers and participants. Fun themes promote longer content retention and an optimistic view of career planning. They also increase the chances that students will avail of the sponsor career center's services. Organizers must insure that topics are relevant, interesting and are integrated under a unifying theme with a creative approach and treatment. Efficient organization, innovation, resourcefulness and humor will ensure a successful, fun and memorable workshop.
