A comparative study of the interaction between nafcillin and catalase by equilibrium dialysis and (X1)-potential measurements

Article Abstract:

A combination of equilibrium dialysis and (X1)-potential measurements is applied for determining the characterization of the interactions between the penicillin nafcillin and the protein catalase in aqueous solution at pH 3.2, 7.4 and 10.5 at 25 degree Celsius. It is seen that at high nafcillin concentrations, drastic changes in the catalase structure at pH 10.0 are induced.

Regarding the effect that different hydrocarbon/fluorocarbon surfactant mixtures have on their complexation with HSA

Article Abstract:

The complexations between human serum albumin (HSA) and the sodium perfluorooctanoate/sodium octanoate and sodium perfluorooctanoate/sodium dodecanoate systems were studied. Results revealed that the binary mixtures of the surfactants deviated slightly from ideality.
