A sprayer of another color

Article Abstract:

Case Corp. of Racine, WI, has introduced the SPX 4260 Patriot sprayer, the firm's latest addition to its Case IH family of crop care equipment. The company, which purchased Tyler Industries in the summer of 1998, has equipped the sprayer with its AIM Command Spray System, a feature that permits an even distribution of chemicals through droplet-size control. Case Corp.'s SPX 4260's 60-ft-to-90-ft, floater-style boom also has a double breakaway and fold-over top that increases the equipment's lifespan and accuracy whenever in use.

A closer look at leasing

Article Abstract:

Leasing of farm equipment is emerging as a favored means of purchase that could be more preferable than conventional financial arrangements. Farmers considering a lease option should first conduct an evaluation of their prospective agent in the same manner as studying the terms being offered by a bank in exchange for a loan. Some of the items that need to be discussed include the company's tenure in the business, the services offered and the required cost of capital.
