Aptuit and Albany expand into India

Two leaders in the pharmaceutical industry have further expanded their operations in India - with Aptuit closing a drug development joint venture with Laurus Laboratories, and Albany Molecular Research Inc. acquiring Ariane Orgachem and Ferico Laboratories from the Runwal group for apprioximately 8 million euros. Ongoing and future operations of these US-based companies in India are also discussed.

Big deal is near for Aesica

Article Abstract:

Aesica Pharmaceuticals has guaranteed to acquire the chemicals and pharmaceuticals operations of Abbot Laboratories at Queensborough, which will go into completion after negotiations and regulatory approval. A supply agreement is expected by Aesica shortly after the deal is finalized. The scale of the deal, as well as the activities of the two companies involved, are also discussed.
