The German Hamburg-based company Worlee-Chemie GmbH has set up Worlee-Chemie GmbH Shanghai Representative Office to market in China maleic resins from a production joint venture in Xinyi, China, and bonding agents and additives from Worlee's German factories. The new office will also assist the chemical trade division of German Worlee in the purchasing of paint raw materials in China. Worlee has been active in Southeast Asia for 200 years. In 1996 it set up the trade subsidiary Worlee (HK) Ltd in Hong Kong.

POLAND: WORLEE SET UP MARKETING COMPANY

Article Abstract:

Worlee Polska, a new Warsaw-based subsidiary of German Hamburg-based Worlee-Chemie G.m.b.H., became operational at the beginning of year 2000. Beside distributing bonding agents and additives from Worlee factories in Lauenburg and Lubeck, Germany, and additives and pigments of foreign producers, the company has taken over the marketing of the additives of Dow Corning in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

POLAND: CORROSION PROOFING ORDER FOR KERAMCHEMIE

Article Abstract:

German Siershahn-based Keramchemie GmbH (KCH) and its Polish Kielce-based subsidiary KCT Spzoo have got a corrosion prevention order from the Laziska power station in Poland. In the flue gas desulphurisation plant, more than 9,500 sq.m of steel surface is to be covered with rubber liners and another 2,800 sq.m is to be coated. The order includes the delivery of materials and quality control.
