Capillary electrophoresis separations of bundled and individual carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is performed on polymer-stabilized bundles and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) suspensions of high-pressure carbon monoxide (HiPco)-produced single-walled carbon nanotubes. Separation on SDS suspensions indicates that CE is capable of separating bundled nanotubes from isolated individuals on the basis of differences in nanotube mobility.

Kinetic treatment of coupled electron and proton transfer in flash-photolysis experiments on carbon monoxide-inhibited mixed-valence cytochrome c oxidase

Article Abstract:

The coupled electron and proton transfer observed in flow-flash experiments on CO-inhibited mixed-valence cytochrome c oxidase is discussed. The CO locks home a(sub 3) in its reduced state, while there are data indicating that a(sub 3)(super 2+)-CO complex can be oxidized by ferricytochrome.

Infrared reflection absorption study of carbon monoxide adsorbed on submonolayer Fe-covered Cu(100) and (111) bimetallic surfaces

Article Abstract:

An investigation is carried out to study the carbon monoxide adsorption on submonolayer iron and copper deposited surfaces. For this purpose, infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy is used.
