Effect of ozone oxidation on single-walled carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

The exposure of single-walled carbon nanotubes to room-temperature UV-generated ozone leads to an irreversible increase in their electrical resistance due to ozone oxidation on the sidewalls of the nanotubes rather than at the end caps. The oxidation rate can be controlled with short exposure, UV-generated ozone offers the potential for use as a low-thermal-budget processing tool.

Acetone oxidation using ozone on manganese oxide catalysts

Article Abstract:

Manganese oxide catalysts were prepared by the impregnation of alumina foam blocks washcoated with alumina and silica. Acetone catalytic oxidation was studied from room temperature to 573 K, and was found to be highly accelerated by the use of ozone on both catalysts with substantial reductions in the reaction temperature.

Electron transfer effects in ozone decomposition on supported manganese oxide

Article Abstract:

Manganese oxide catalysts supported on Al2o3, ZrO2, TiO2 and SiO2 supports are used to study the effect of support on ozone decomposition kinetics. The support was found to influence the desorption step and this effect manifested itself in the preexponential factor of the rate constant for desorption.
