Carboxylated ficolls: Preparation, characterization, and electrophoretic behavior of model charged nanospheres

Article Abstract:

Nanosized carboxylated ficolls (CF) are synthesized and then characterized by potentiometric titration, capillary electrophoresis (CE), and electrophoretic light scattering (ELS). Behavior consistent with simple electrostatic models indicates that charged are uniformly distributed on their surfaces, making these ideal model systems to investigate the electrophoretic mobility of charged spheres with sizes intermediate between those of dendrimers and latex particles.

Spectroscopic investigations of solvent effect on chiral interactions

Article Abstract:

The spectrophotometric method is used to determine the mechanism of chiral interactions between a known chiral selector, tert-butyl carbamoylated quinine (t-BuCQN), and N-derivative amino acids (DNB-Leu). It is demonstrated that the spectrophotometric method can be successfully used to determine the mechanism of chiral interactions between tert-butyl carbamoylated quinine (t-BuCQN) and amino acid derivatives.

Spectroscopic characterization of highly dispersed vanadia supported on SBA-15

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of highly dispersed surface vanadia species by functionalization of SBA-15 and subsequent anion exchange, using butylammonium decavanadate followed by thermolysis, is presented. The structure of the supported VO(sub x) phase during synthesis and after dehydration is discussed.
