Charge carrier transport properties in polymer liquid crystals containing oxadiazole and amine moieties in the same side chain

Article Abstract:

Steady-state and transient photocurrent measurements were carried out to study the charge carrier transport properties of polymer liquid crystal (LC) containing oxadiazole (OXD) and amine moieties in the same side chain. Charge transport properties of the film in relation to a large dipole attributed to an electrical push-pull structure of p-dimethylaminophenyl-OXD moiety in polymer LC and its electroluminescent properties are discussed.

Evidence of wormlike micellar behavior in chromonic liquid crystals: rheological, X-ray, and dielectric studies

Article Abstract:

Rheological, X-ray, and dielectric investigations are performed on a chromic liquid-crystalline system formed by aqueous solutions of a food coloring agent, Sunset Yellow, in the absence and upon addition of salt. The results have shown that certain characters of the aggregates formed by the Sunset Yellow molecules are not altered by the addition of salt.

Ordered structures in proton conducting membranes from supramolecular liquid crystal polymers

Article Abstract:

A series of sulfonated poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide) (PPTA) polymers are prepared in three molecular configurations. The variation in the polymer alignment is due to the result of the differences in the solution properties and the film forming process.
