Confinement effects at the external surface of delaminated zeolites (ITQ-2): An inorganic mimic of cyclodextrins

Article Abstract:

The novel delaminated zeolites (ITQ-2) has a remarkably large accessible external surface area (~800 m2 g(super -1) and reduced microporosity and hence alpha, omega-diphenyl polyenes were used as molecular probes to check the ability of ITQ-2 zeolite to generate organic radical cations.

Mechanism of photodentritrogenation of salen azido-metal complexes within the cavities of zeolite Y

Article Abstract:

Salen nitromanganese(V) and nitridochromium(V) complexes inside zeolite Y is obtained by photodenitrogenation of encapsulated Mn(III) and Cr(III) azide complexes. The azide ligand was introduced in the performed metallosalen complex using TMSN3.

Multicomponent donor-acceptor relay system assembled within the cavities of zeolite Y. Photoinduced electron transfer between Ru(bpy)(sub 3)(super 2+) and 2,4,6-triphenylpyrylium in the presence of interposed TiO2

Article Abstract:

Zeolite Y containing Ru(bpy)(sub 3)(super 2+) is obtained by the stepwise ship-in-a-bottle synthesis of the two components. The identity of the two ions is demonstrated by diffuse reflectance UV-vis and IR spectra.
