Congruent vaporization of solid manganese monotelluride and the effects of phase transitions: a high-temperature mass spectrometric study

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the congruent vaporization of solid manganese monotelluride and the effects of phase transitions using Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry. Both the Mn-Te samples on continuous vaporization reached the congruently effusing compositions (CECs) are congruent to 50 at. % Te. Results demonstrate that the partial pressures of Mn(g), Te(g) and Te2(g) were deduced and by neglecting the variations in the CECs with temperature, the enthalpy changes for the vaporization reactions during congruent effusion were evaluated.

Investigation of adsorbate reactivity during NO decomposition over different levels of copper-ion exchanged ZSM-5 using in situ IR technique

Article Abstract:

The dynamic behavior of adsorbed species in the nitric oxide decomposition reaction on over- and underexchanged Cu-ZSM-5 was studied by means of in situ infrared and mass spectroscopy coupled with temperature-programmed reaction, isotopic temperature-programmed desorption, step transient and pulse transient techniques. The results showed the presence of two pathways for O2 formation. One was oxygen from the desorption of adsorbed oxygen on Cu-ZSM-5 and another was in oxygen produced from the decomposition of Cu2+(NO3-).
