Control of nucleation in solution growth of anatase TiO2 on glass substrate

Article Abstract:

The fundamental aspects of heterogeneous and homogeneous nucleations in liquid phase deposition (LPD) of TiO2 on common glass substrates in relation to various preparative parameters are studied. The flowerlike polycrystalline TiO2 islands, subsequently develops into a planar crystallite monolayer.

CO-induced modification of the metal/MgO(100) interaction

Article Abstract:

The effect of the support on the adsorbate/metal bond and the effect of the adsorbates on the metal/metal oxide interface are studied. The underlying mechanism for bond strengthening is due to CO-metal and metal-metaloxide bond characteristics.
