Effect of Co-MCM-41 conversion to cobalt silicate for catalytic growth of single wall carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

The study of cobalt silicate as a model catalyst is presented to seek an understanding of why Co-MCM-41 catalyst is not active for single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) upon treatment at high temperature. Findings indicate that cobalt silicate did not produce any carbon species during the first reaction cycle as the high thermal stability of cobalt silicate did not result in sufficient metallic Co clusters responsible for carbon dissociation in CO disproportionation.

Isothermal desorption kinetics of crystalline H2O, H2(super 18)O, and D2O ice multilayers

Article Abstract:

A transition state model is developed which explains the measured desorption kinetics, a crystalline ice multilayers. Through this model, it is found that the total molecular mass has a small impact on the desorption kinetics.
