A new approach to the spectral analysis of liquid membrane oscillators by Gabor transformation

Article Abstract:

A new approach is presented based on Gabor transformation allowing one to obtain power spectra of any kind of oscillations that can be met experimentally. The proposed Gabor analysis was applied to a liquid membrane oscillator containing a cationic surfactant and it was found that the power spectra was strongly influenced by the presence of various added substances.

Surface dilational rheology of mixed beta-lactoglobulin/surfactant layers at the air/water interface

Article Abstract:

Results are reported on experimental studies of the dilational rheology of a beta-lactoglobulin mixture with the nonionic surfactant decyl dimethyl phosphine oxide (C10DMPO) at the solution/air interface. The results indicated that the calculated limiting elasticities of the mixtures comply with the experiments.
