Cu/ZnO and Cu/ZnO/SiO2 catalysts studied by Low-Energy Ion Scattering

Article Abstract:

The effect of reduction temperature on the the surface composition of Cu/ZnO and Cu/ZnO/SiO2 catalysts was investigated using Low-Energy Ion Scattering. Results showed that the copper and zinc signals can be separated by applying isotopic enrichment and that lead originated from the 68ZnO raw material and segregated to the surface during catalyst reduction. Findings also suggested that the reduction at high-temperature causes the zinc oxide to be segregated to the surface.

Formation and characterization of crystalline molecular arrays of gas molecules in a 1-dimensional ultramicropore of a porous copper coordination polymer

Article Abstract:

A strategy for observing regular assemblies of guest molecules to utilize the well-regulated one-dimensional (1D) channel of porous coordination polymers is presented. Obtaining crystal structures indicate that guest molecules are confined in a linear fashion to form crystalline-like regular ordered arrays, which are characteristic of the kind of gas molecules and the geometrical and potential properties of the ultramicropore.

Mechanochemical reactions in Cu/ZnO catalysts induced by mechanical milling

Article Abstract:

The structure of Cu/ZnO catalyst is studied by systematic variation of precursors and milling atmosphere. The mechanochemical reactions are observed during mechanical milling of Cu oxides and ZnO in various atmospheres.
