Changes in electrochemical and optical properties of oligoalkylthiophene film induced by bipolaron formation

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the electrochemical and optical properties of thin films of oligoalkylthiophene (13T) consisting of 13 thienylene units to clarify the solid-state natures of the pi-conjugated oligomer. The results suggested that a pristine 13T films is a mixture of two phases to be oxidized at separate potentials and that one phase could be switched to other by potential stimulation.

Electrochemical generation of hot plasma by pulsed discharge in an electrolyte

Article Abstract:

Electrochemical generation of hot plasma in an electrolyte has attracted considerable attention from the viewpoints of emission spectrometry and the decomposition of organic compounds responsible for environmental pollution. The study analyses that the emission spectra at the cathode is affected significantly by the electrochemical reactions prior to the generation of the hot plasma.

Electrochemical derivatization of carbon surface by reduction of situ generated diazonium cations

Article Abstract:

The derivatization of a glassy carbon electrode surface was achieved by electrochemical reduction of several in situ generated diazonium cations. The diazonium cations were synthesized in the electrochemical cell by the reaction of the corresponding amines with NaNO2 in aqueous HCl.
