Optical and physical properties of cobalt oxide films electrogenrated in biocarbonate aqueous media

Article Abstract:

A complete and fundamental investigation of the optical and physical properties of new, well-structured, brightly colored and protective electrogenerated cobalt oxide films on polycrystalline cobalt substrate under very mild experimental conditions is described. The electrogenerated films had a highly protective character against localized corrosion induced by chloride ions and it is essentially composed of amorphous CoO.

Variation of fluorescence lifetimes and Judd-Ofelt parameters between Eu(super 3+) doped bulk and nanocrystalline cubic Lu2O3

Article Abstract:

The luminescent properties of 1 mol % Eu(super 3+) -doped cubic Lu2O3 nanocrystals prepared by a combustion synthesis route are investigated. Emission spectra and lifetimes of the excited states of the nanocrystals samples were found to differ significantly from those of the bulk.

Metalliphobic interactions in closed-shell d(super 10) metal-metal dicyanide bonded luminescent systems Eu[AgxAu(sub 1-x)(CN)2]3 and their tunability for excited state energy transfer

Article Abstract:

The study reports on the heterobimetallic system, Eu[AgxAu(sub 1-x)(CN)2]3. Luminescence results reveal that the mixed metal dicyanides with the higher silver loading have a better energy transfer efficiency than the pure Ag(SN)2(super -) and Au(CN)2(super -) donors.
